Group Chief Data and Analytics Officer
Aditya Birla Group · Bengaluru, India
33 years of building things that matter — teams, capabilities, frameworks, and the conviction that a career is not enough. A life is what all five dimensions, together, make possible.
Pankaj Rai is a seasoned business and technology leader with over 33 years of experience spanning management consulting, financial services, large-scale offshoring, and enterprise analytics. Currently serving as Group Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Aditya Birla Group — one of India's largest and most diversified conglomerates.
His career is a study in deliberate, curious reinvention — from management consulting at Feedback Ventures, to project financing at ICICI, to Six Sigma leadership at GE Capital, to building one of India's most respected internal analytics teams at Dell over nearly 11 years, to transformation leadership at Wells Fargo, to his current role as the first Group CDAO at Aditya Birla Group.
A British Chevening Scholar and alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, he brings to every conversation a rare combination of analytical rigour and genuine humaneness. He is a passionate long-distance runner, a community builder, and a practitioner of Full Stack Human leadership. Every Saturday morning, he runs through Bangalore. The frameworks grew from those runs.
From Intuition
to Intention
Frameworks in the Making
Frameworks are not invented. They are discovered — in lived experience, pressed against enough honest reflection to acquire a name. Pankaj Rai spent twenty years practising these frameworks before he could articulate them. This book is the articulation.
It is also the soul of the Param Commons — the document that makes everything else make sense. Frameworks tell you what Pankaj thinks. This book tells you who he is, and why the frameworks are the way they are.
"Move from intuition to intention — one framework at a time. Intentional living is more meaningful because you don't have to think for things you have already figured out for yourself."
— Pankaj RaiEach emerged not from a whiteboard but from a life lived with attention. Click any framework to go deeper.
